Eatter – The First Northern Thai Fusion Restaurant in Bang Phli, Serving “Flavors Made with Love” Across Generations

The story of Eatter begins with a Tai Yai (Shan) family who migrated and settled in Phrae Province in 1906, bringing with them a rich culinary heritage that has been carefully preserved through generations.
This legacy was lovingly passed down, with “Mae Oui Kaew” (grandmother Kaew) at the heart of the kitchen. Deeply passionate about cooking, she inherited her skills from her grandmother and became the main cook of the village during festivals and special occasions. Much like a head chef, she oversaw everything—from selecting ingredients to perfecting each dish. One of her most iconic recipes is Gaeng Hung Lay, traditionally prepared in large pots to feed the entire village.
These recipes are now over 80 years old, carrying the authentic and soulful flavors of Northern Thailand.
In 2001, the third generation, led by Khun Anong, was determined to preserve these traditional recipes for future generations. She opened “E-Ster” (Is-Ter), a Northern Thai restaurant dedicated to sharing the true taste of “Lanna” cuisine.
What makes Eatter truly unique is its evolution beyond tradition.
Khun Anong has creatively reimagined classic recipes, blending authenticity with innovation to create Northern Thai fusion cuisine—flavors that remain true to their roots, yet are more approachable, modern, and enjoyable for everyday dining.
A must-try signature dish is
“Khanom Sen Nam Prik Ai Saep”—a bold, spicy, and uniquely crafted noodle dish that you won’t find anywhere else.
Eatter is more than just a restaurant.
It is a journey into Lanna culture, reinterpreted for the modern table—served with international presentation, yet rooted in over 80 years of tradition.
